Tonight, we opened up for august burns red.
Bless The Fall, Enter Shakiri, and Destroy the Runner also played.
Twas a Sold out show. There was an enormous line around the block an hour before they even let anybody in so, when it was our time to go on, we went to full blackout, they started our intro, and we slowly walked to the stage. To my surprise, at the moment we got on stage, we received a great deal of applause.
I didn't exactly expect that, but it was a great way to start our set.
We played, we perspired, we had fun.
(Which is what is really the goal)
After the set, after loading our stuff in the trailer, I went to the merch table to hang out. By the end of the night, we sold a surprising amount of CDs, especially because every single band tonight had a new CD out.
Things are starting to pay off for 13 Killings. We have been putting forth an enormous amount of effort, and its great to know that people are enjoying our show.
August Burns Red - phenominal. 'Nuff said.
Tonight is not over, I must celebrate the way a straight edge kid should, eat a burrito and drink OJ!
